Have you ever heard of serendipity in sciences?

Serendipity is a happy and unexpected event that apparently occurs due to chance and often appears when we are searching for something else. 
Most scientists accept the notion that serendipity plays a major role in their work. Too many discoveries have been, after all, the result of ‘lucky accidents.’
